Touch any chart to view details about that chart.
To delete any record, simply swipe your finger from right to left on any row and a 'Delete' button will appear. Touch the 'Delete' button and the record is permanently removed. This is a standard user-interface gesture on the iPhone but is not widely known among newer iPhone users.
To edit a record, you must first select the desired record. Simply touch the row and the record will be highlighted with an animated white dashed rectangle. Touching a selected record again will cause an 'Edit Record' dialog to appear. You may then change any or all of the record's data. To save the changes, touch 'Save'. To close the dialog without saving the changes, touch 'Cancel'.
Yahoo strips many attachments from iPhone emails, including CSV files which HeartWise uses. This is NOT a problem with HeartWise, but is instead an issue with the IMAP email connectivity that Yahoo has chosen to implement for the iPhone. All iPhone developers are currently dealing with this issue, and there is a lengthy discussion on the Apple developer forums about it. If you have an email account other than Yahoo on your phone, use that one when exporting data and you will have no problems. It should be noted that you can send exported data TO a Yahoo email account, just not FROM a Yahoo account on your phone.
The dates are there, but the column isn't wide enough to display them. Simply drag the Date column wider with your mouse until the dates are fully readable. This is a function of Microsoft Excel (or similar spreadsheet program), and is not caused by HeartWise or the spreadsheet it exports. We agree that it would be logical for Excel to automatically adjust the width of columns to display all the data, but that unfortunately is not the way it is designed.
This can occur for users who have localization setting conflicts between their phones and the computers they try to export the data to. For example, if a user lives or reside in Europe or another locale where the default date format is DD-MM-YYYY (day-month-year) and tries to open exported data on a computer with a localization setting of US-English, where the default format is MM-DD-YYYY (month-day-year), the spreadsheet application will interpret the dates inconsistently. Many users who travel or work abroad can unknowingly encounter this inconsistency, which can usually be resolved by either changing the localization setting on one of the two systems or by taking manually control of the spreadsheet program's import process to force correctly interpretation the dates. Consult your phone's manual for details on changing your phone's localization settings (usually accomplished under SETTINGS > GENERAL > INTERNATIONAL > REGION FORMAT. Consult your computer or spreadsheet program's technical support service for details on making adjustments on your computer on in your spreadsheet software.
The single-user version of HeartWise can only save and display records fir a single person. We are working on a multi-user version of the program, but it is not currently available. Please check back here for updates on when the multi-user edition will be available.
We plan to include Spanish language support with the release of HeartWise ver. 3.0. French language support will take longer. Check the HeartWise product page for updates on the release date.
This capability is now included in HeartWise version 3.1.2 and later. BloodWise is built for iPhone OS 3.0 or later. You must have iPhone OS 3.0 or later on your iPhone or iPod Touch to run this application. The application was incorrectly listed in the App Store as requiring OS 2.2.1 or later. This statement is set by Apple when an App is posted to the App Store and is not controlled by us. To run the App, you need to upgrade your device to accommodate OS 3.0 or later. You can upgrade your device through iTunes.
Certain international / localization settings on your device can cause the decimal point to not appear in Version 2.1.0. This issue was detected almost immediately and corrected in Version 2.1.1. The update was sent to Apple on October 20, 2009. It usually takes Apple about two weeks to review and approve applications. The update should be available by November 5, 2009, and you will receive it free of charge.
This issue does NOT affect users in the United States.
